The proud winner of a 3 t Crown pallet jack donated as a raffle prize by Shumani Industrial Equipment, Bashumi Instruments & Control Services (BCIS), plans to use the machine to increase productivity and safety, as it is far less labour-intensive and easier to operate.

The 3 t Crown pallet jack was handed over officially to BCIS Owner Lomo Senoamadi by Shumani Industrial Equipment National Key Accounts Manager Allesha Maniram. BCIS is a supplier of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, glassware and consumables, testing instruments, glassblowing, chemicals and reagents, equipment repairs and recalibrations.

Shumani Industrial Equipment is a 51% black-owned and managed industrial equipment supplier. It offers a ‘one-stop’ solution for forklifts and materials handling equipment, cleaning equipment, access equipment, compact construction equipment, engines, generators and agricultural equipment, and compressed air solutions.

The Crown WP 3000 pallet jack series has been engineered to be sufficiently powerful and flexible to meet the varied requirements of a range of demanding applications. Whether it’s dock work, delivery service, stock replenishment, or heavy manufacturing, the series has the strength and durability to minimise the total cost of ownership. Crown’s application-focused design means that there is a pallet jack to suit any customer’s workforce, levels of usage, facility layout, and shipping needs.

“Our vision is to be the leading black-owned and managed, ‘one-stop’ supplier of world-class industrial and construction equipment in Southern Africa. We are driven by our long-term commitment to providing our customers with ideal products for their unique requirements, supported by unparalleled aftersales service to ensure maximum uptime and quick return on investment,” Maniram comments.

“We are very pleased to be the winner of this amazing pallet jack, which represents the latest developments in lift-truck technology. It is an essential piece of materials-handling equipment that will stand us in good stead in expediting our client orders and deliveries on a daily basis, while ensuring the safety of our workforce, and boosting efficiencies across our entire operations,” Senoamadi concludes.
