Basil Read appoints new CFO

JSE-listed Basil Read on Tuesday announced the appointment of Talib Sadik as CFO and FD, effective October 1, following the resignation of Amanda Wightman.

Chartered accountant Sadik was previously group FD at Times Media, De Beers Group Services and Denel.

“We are delighted to welcome a well-rounded and seasoned executive with financial leadership experience to Basil Read. The board looks forward to working with Sadik to inject new energy into our efforts, as we continuously improve business performance and the strategic transformation of the company,” said Basil Read chairperson Paul Baloyi.
