Industrial electrical specialist RTC Control Systems won the ‘Industrial Installation of the year award’ at the 2019 Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) competition, in November, and MD Leon Barkhuizen hopes that RTC’s growth will spur it to become the “best and most trusted electrical company in South Africa.”

The company – which was in 1998 founded by Barkhuizen – was a first-time participant in the yearly ECA competition. RTC is a long-standing, accredited member of the ECA; and this achievement is an “immensely proud moment” for Barkhuizen and his valued employees.

With a range of services under its belt, RTC’s focus is on being a turnkey solutions provider, with an offering ranging from automation processes, power factor correction, motor control centres to pipe design and installation, besides others.

Further, the company was born out of the need for energy management services, as well as Barkhuizen’s drive for energy conservation, maximising profits and improving efficiency within the industry.

Over the years RTC has grown into a dynamic organisation that serves the industrial and commercial sectors of the electrical industry. The company prides itself on being an industrial electrical specialist that incorporates the principles of safety, quality and efficiency in its work for clients.

Moreover, RTC is licensed and accredited with the Electrical Contracting Board of South Africa. the company is also an accredited Level 2 QSE BBBEE company.

The Johannesburg-based company also provides services throughout South Africa, having recently completed work in Ghana and the UK.
