JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed multidisciplinary construction and engineering group Aveng has appointed Mike Kilbride and Mohamed Seedat as independent nonexecutive directors, with effect from July 4.

“Both Kilbride and Seedat have extensive experience in the mining industry,” Aveng said in a statement.

Kilbride was an executive director of Kumba Resources and Exxaro. Seedat worked for BHP Billiton and Anglo American Coal during his 32-year career, and was also COO at platinum miner Lonmin.

The company also appointed Michele Nana as company secretary, with effect from August 1.
