Engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Aurecon has appointed several new key players to bolster its internal advisory practice to strengthen its “operational excellence, client relationships and competitiveness” in the global marketplace.

Former PwC strategy practice partner Brad McBean was appointed MD of Aurecon’s global advisory, along with former PwC capital projects MD Stuart Cassie as ANZ advisory market director.

Further, Aurecon also appointed Andrew Muller as CFO, Michael Shirley as clients MD, Dr Andrew Maher as chief digital officer and Maureen Thurston as global director of Design to Innovate.

Independent consultant Gerhard Vorster was also drafted in to advise on the growth of Aurecon’s global advisory business.

“As one of Australia’s biggest providers of infrastructure and engineering services, Aurecon is seeing an increasing demand for consulting advice around supply chain, asset optimisation, portfolio, programme and project optimisation and the digitisation of infrastructure across both our private and public sector clients,” Aurecon CEO Giam Swiegers said.
