Formed in 1951 in the US, Signium is an international executive search firm specialising in talent management that has 46 offices in 30 countries. Talent Africa will form part of Signium’s EMEA Region and the membership will allow them to service international clients not only in South Africa, but also in sub-Saharan Africa.
Ignacio Bao, Chairman of Signium said “Talent Africa’s membership will add a significant footprint in sub-Saharan Africa for Signium”. A major criteria for Talent Africa’s attraction to Signium is the fact that all offices are wholly owned by the local consultants. This will enable Talent Africa to maintain a level 2 Broad-Base Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) status as a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE).
Signium’s proven entrepreneurial structure drives partners to generate innovative and knowledge-based business orientation solutions to clients. Signium’s diverse global team provides clients with progressive international expertise that is locally relevant.
Auguste (Gusti) Coetzer, Director of Talent Africa said “It is imperative for Talent Africa to have a global reach as increased interest is shown by foreign companies in sub-Saharan expansion, and Talent Africa specialises in the recruitment of executives in sub-Saharan Africa.
Talent Africa will retain its South African roots while still being proudly part of the African continent serving these internationally-diverse companies. Taking into account that a large portion of our business continues to focus on local parastatals and South African companies”.
As one of the founders of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), a worldwide professional association for the retained executive search and leadership consulting industry, Signium helped to develop the codes of ethics and professionalism which ensure member firms comply with the highest standards. These standards are firmly maintained by both Signium and Talent Africa.
