South African manufacturer Armoured Vehicle Solutions (AVS) has introduced a range of light armoured vehicles (LAVs) that are unique in its category.

The Milcat LAV offers supreme reliability, protection and mobility. The vehicle features level B6 ballistic protection which protects up to and including standard assault rifles.

AVS has two 4 x 4 models – the Milcat 5-seater bakkie and the Milcat 7-seater closed canopy. The Milcat light truck is much larger than a standard bakkie giving it more of a presence in any given situation.

The Milcat has a proven track record of reliability and practicality and has been successfully deployed across South Africa for the last three years.

With portal axles and three diff-locks, the Milcat is designed to be able to handle the toughest terrain. Even though it is an extremely capable offroad vehicle it is also at home on any tar road or in any urban setting.

The Milcat is a proudly South African vehicle, manufactured in-house at AVS’s manufacturing facility east of Pretoria.

AVS offers rental services to security companies and mines. It believes that the Milcat is the ideal solution for any company looking for a purpose-built armoured vehicle to meet their security needs.
