Ansys acquires LAWtrust

JSE-listed Ansys has entered into a sales agreement with the shareholders of information technology developer Law Trusted Third Party Services (LAWtrust) to acquire the firm for an undisclosed amount.

Ansys on Thursday said in an update to the market that the transaction remained subject to conditions precedent, including Competition Commission approval.

The company expects the acquisition to bolster its current cybersecurity business through strategically aligned products and access to new markets.
