Company Announcement - Cheshire-based global energy recruiter Worldwide Recruitment Solutions are celebrating a target-smashing year, having seen revenue grow to £31.5m for the FY 2014. Managing Director Mark Brown predicts a seventh year of consecutive growth with revenue set to increase to £45m in 2015.

2014 saw significant investment in infrastructure for WRS, with improvements being made in IT, telephony and their customer relationship management system as WRS saw sales growth across all core disciplines. The company have also made a number of key appointments in the year, including Financial Director Matthew Wells, experienced Recruitment Operations Manager Paul Broderick, who now heads up WRS’ Oil & Gas Permanent division and Head of Learning & Development Aisling McDonagh, who has a wealth of experience in both recruitment and staff development. The last year has also seen WRS’ first steps into overseas expansion, with the opening of their Kurdistan branch, based in the growing capital Erbil and headed up by Jonathan Mooney, whose experience lies in strategy and business development. Further subsidiaries are planned, including the Singapore office, which will start trading in April 2015, and further offices based in Houston, Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi later in the year to support the Americas, Africa and Middle East regions respectively.

WRS have achieved a number of awards in the past year, including Insider Media’s International Trade Awards 2014, in which they took the award for the International Company of the Year £10m-£25m turnover category, a ranking of 18th in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For (alongside the maximum 3* rating for employee engagement) and a placing in the Smarta Santander Breakthrough 50 Awards, which recognise outstanding UK businesses. Looking forward, Mark Brown expects headcount to exceed 100+ globally, of whom roughly 95 will be based in the Altrincham head office. Mark Brown comments, “The foundations of our business are built on a culture of meritocracy and an investment programme centred around our people and our clients. Understanding the needs of both continues to shape both the internal and external growth strategies for the company.”

About WRS: Worldwide Recruitment Solutions Ltd. recruit globally across the Oil & Gas, Mining, Marine, Power and Construction industries. Based in Altrincham, Cheshire, they have been operating since 2008 and have seen significant growth in that time.
