PERTH (miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Alkane Resources has increased its production expectations for the second half of 2017 on the back of continued strong production from its Tomingley gold project, in New South Wales.

The company expects to produce between 43 000 oz and 45 000 oz, instead of the previous guidance of between 31 000 oz and 36 000 oz, with all-in sustaining costs (AISC) to reach between A$1 000/oz and A$1 100/oz, instead of the previous guidance of between A$1 350/oz and A$1 550/oz.

Alkane on Tuesday upgraded its production expectations after the Tomingley gold mine continued to perform well during the previous quarter, delivering over 17 000 oz of gold across April and May this year.

For the full year, Alkane is expected to produce between 65 000 oz and 67 000 oz at an AISC of A$1 300/oz to A$1 400/oz.

For the next financial year, gold production was expected to reach between 65 000 oz and 70 000 oz, with AISC estimated at A$1 100/oz to A$1 200/oz.
