Location
The photovoltaic (PV) farms are set to be built in Apulia, Sicily and Lazio, in Italy.

Project Owner/s
GreenIT, a joint venture comprising Plenitude, a subsidiary of Eni (51%), and CDP Equity (49%).

Project Description
The JV plans to build four PV plants with an accumulative capacity of 200 MW.

The plants will be built using agrivoltaic technology, which involves installing raised structures to achieve synergy between agriculture and the production of renewable energy.

Once operational, the agrivoltaic parks are expected to cover the electricity consumption of an estimated 150 000 households, thus contributing to the decarbonisation targets set out in the 2030 National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan.
