Agrivoltaic parks projects, Italy
Name of the Project
Agrivoltaic parks projects.
Location
The photovoltaic (PV) farms are set to be built in Apulia, Sicily and Lazio, in Italy.
Project Owner/s
GreenIT, a joint venture comprising Plenitude, a subsidiary of Eni (51%), and CDP Equity (49%).
Project Description
The JV plans to build four PV plants with an accumulative capacity of 200 MW.
The plants will be built using agrivoltaic technology, which involves installing raised structures to achieve synergy between agriculture and the production of renewable energy.
