Frontier Advisory is pleased to announce the hosting of the next Africa Frontiers Forum on the 19th February at the Industrial Development Corporation in Sandton.

Rapid urbanization is fast becoming the key driver of economic change in Africa.  The African continent is the fastest urbanising region in the world. The figures are astounding: it is estimated that in the next 15 years, an additional 350m people will be living in Africa’s cities. Undoubtedly, this is now the greatest management challenge for Africa’s governments. According to The Economist, Kampala, Dar es Salaam and Lusaka will have the greatest growth in population over the next decade. As Africa builds more urban fabric than ever before and adds more people to existing places, how these cities are structured will define how competitive and sustainable the region will be as a whole.

Today, emerging African cities are already hubs for economic growth, innovation, and social and human development. All in all, cities currently account for an estimated 70% of global GDP. What implications will this have for companies and how should they be thinking about the opportunity and challenges that Africa’s urbanization presents them?

Join us at this Africa Frontiers Forum to discuss and debate this continental “mega-trend” with leading experts in their respective fields. www.frontieradvisory.com
