The second Africa CEO Forum, which is expected to attract more than 700 African and international CEOs, financiers and business leaders, will include core themes on Africa’s competitiveness enhancement, the “Africapitalism paradigm” and the digital revolution.

The forum, established in 2012, aimed to facilitate local exchange on development, promote public–private dialogue to build a foundation encouraging the growth of new activities and enhance and support African entrepreneurship.

This year’s forum comprised eight knowledge sessions on, among others, the trends in agribusiness, extractive industries, capital partnerships and company management and strategies to encourage growth.

Among those attending the forum were African Development Bank (AfDB) president Donald Kaberuka, Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, Shoreline Energy International CEO Kola Karim, Econet Wireless chairperson Strive Masiyiwa and Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde Gebremariam.

The Africa CEO Forum, to be held in Geneva from March 17 to 19, was organised by French magazine publisher Groupe Jeune Afrique in partnership with the AfDB.
