Acrow Racking & Shelving, an East Rand-based metalworking company, has been operational in South Africa since 1951 and currently employs 200 people.
Its main activities include the design, manufacture and installation of various types of storage equipment, scaffolding and formwork.
The company’s 22 000 m2 factory, at 37 Dekema road, in Wadeville, Germiston, boasts ISO 9001:2008 certification and is equipped with guillotines, rolling machines, computer numerically controlled brake presses and punching machines, eccentric presses, a fibre-optic laser machine and panel-bending and wire-forming machines. The main input materials used by the factory are cold- and hot-rolled steel plate and sections.
Acrow Racking & Shelving has, in the recent past, done work at five Makro stores, seven Game stores and eight Cashbuild stores, as well as Spar DC KZN, Spar DC Lowveld and Masscash Xai Xai, in Mozambique.
