The Tshwane rapid transit system A Re Yeng was on Friday temporarily shut down, owing to buses being prevented from leaving the Tshwane bus depot by striking Tshwane Bus Services (TBS) drivers.

“It is still unknown what led to the strike, but TBS management is trying to ascertain the cause and will attempt to resolve it,” The Tshwane Rapid Transit company said.

It highlighted that although A Re Yeng bus drivers were not participating in the strike, the buses were housed at the TBS depot, which meant that staff could not gain access.
