A new era in youth football – the Engen Champ of Champs

Youth football is set to rise to the next level when the Engen Champ of Champs U17 tournament kicks off at the Nike Centre in Pimville, Soweto from 10th to 12th October, 2014.
Hosted by Engen’s football partners Supersport United FC, the Engen Champ of Champs ushers in a new era for grassroots football further reinforcing Engen’s commitment to youth development in South Africa.
Cape Town’s ASD Academy, Durban’s Amazulu FC Academy, Port Elizabeth’s PE Sundowns, Bloemfontein’s Harmony Academy, Gauteng winner’s Supersport United Academy and Gauteng runners-up Bidvest Wits Juniors will battle for the ultimate U17 football title in South Africa, the Engen Champ of Champs
Not too long ago the likes of Thulani Serero, Ayanda Patosi, Rivaldo Coetzee and May Mahlangu all played in the Engen Knockout Challenge and today these players grace football fields at international level.
During the Engen Champ of Champs aspiring young footballers will be challenging to emulate their football hero’s to one-day play at the highest level.
This year, Engen will provide that opportunity to a youngster selected as the “Player of the Tournament” at the Engen Champ of Champs. The winner of this individual award will be joining a select group of youngsters from Supersport United FC for an international training experience with a top football club abroad.
South Africa’s “best of the best” U17 football talent will on display at the Engen Champ of Champs and the event is guaranteed to excite, enthral and entertain.
