SPONSORED POST (Virtual Showroom): A 3D printer designed specifically for professional users, promises consistent performance across a range of different materials.

The UP300 3D printer from Tiertime is presented as an easy-to-use machine that delivers quality prints, both in terms of accuracy and finish. The printer includes interchangeable print heads and two removable double-sided glass print boards.

The design includes a solid metal enclosure for the print area, dual high-efficiency particulate air filters and active carbon air filters as well as a USB input on the front of the printer.

Tiertime highlights the following additional features:

  • High quality all-around printing performance with flawless acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) prints
  • Robust, fully-enclosed print chamber
  • Air filtration system
  • Dimensional accuracy correction features
  • Support removal is easy and leaves a clean finish

The company further asserts that its UP 3D printers ensure excellent prints for ABS, polylactic acid and flexible materials, with a range of features that make it ideal for business use.

The UP300 has four print-speed options – normal, fine, fast and turbo, with the specific parameters and settings for each managed by the material profile manager, away from the standard user print settings. Printing using the ‘fine’ selection is the slowest option and gives the best surface finish on a model and ‘turbo’ prints quickly while maintaining high print quality.

The advanced calibration options for higher accuracy prints are said to be exceptional. In UP Studio, the XY and Z and model precision calibration routines are designed to be clear and easy to follow, allowing the user to correct any dimensional inaccuracies. It is a feature that is seen to further underline the suitability of the UP300 for professional use, for both prototyping and end-use parts. The UP300 3D printer is available locally from 3D Printing Systems South Africa. For more information visit Creamer Media's Virtual Showroom
